Secrid Wallet FAQ
Secrid wallets are designed to be compact, secure, and built for everyday use. Below are the most common questions we get.
How many cards does a Secrid wallet hold?
The aluminum Cardprotector is the core of every Secrid wallet.
• It holds 4 to 6 cards, depending on the type of cards used
• Flat cards allow for the full 6-card capacity
• Cards with raised numbers usually reduce capacity to around 4
• A mixed setup is common. For example, in my own wallet, 5 cards with one raised card fits comfortably.
Additional leather storage varies by model:
(One slot is still has easy access for the cards that you sometimes use, the other requires the wallet to fully open up, for the cards that you rarely ever use)

• Slim: up to 3 cards per leather slot
• Mini and Twin: up to 2 cards per leather slot
• Cards stored in leather slots are not RFID protected
Total capacity by model
• Cardprotector only: up to 6 cards
• Slim: up to 12 cards
• Mini: up to 10 cards
• Twin: up to 16 cards
Is a Secrid wallet RFID protected?
Yes.
The aluminum Cardprotector blocks RFID and NFC signals, protecting cards stored inside it from unauthorized scanning.
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. Many modern credit, debit, and access cards use this technology to transmit data wirelessly for tap payments or entry systems.
The aluminum shell of a Secrid Cardprotector acts as a shield, preventing these signals from being read without your knowledge.
Will my cards fall out?
No.
Secrid’s patented mechanism holds cards securely in place and only releases them when the lever is activated. Cards remain firmly seated during normal use.
Some users experienced reduced grip when using metal cards in older models. This has been addressed in the latest generation, the Premium collection, which works great for metal cards like the Amex Platinum and Gold card.
If you own an older Secrid wallet that no longer holds cards as well, the internal felt can be replaced. Bring it in to U.N. Luggage and we’ll help get it fixed.
What’s the difference between the Mini and Slim?
The difference is the closure and overall bulk.
Mini
• Includes a metal buckle that keeps the wallet closed
• Ideal for bags, purses, or coat pockets
• Offers extra security when not carried in a pants pocket
Slim
• No buckle, resulting in a thinner profile
• Preferred for front or back pocket carry
• Cleaner look with nothing pressing or showing through fabric
