Why Choose Cotopaxi Bags
Quality That Stands Out
Cotopaxi Canada offers incredibly high-quality bags of all kinds, including travel packs, backpacks, hip packs, duffel bags, tote bags, hike packs, fanny packs, and more. Its bags are designed to be incredibly durable; you can use them for regular travel, backcountry camping, and just about anything in between.
Thanks to the high-quality materials and processes used to create each Cotopaxi bag, the company offers an excellent warranty: Its “Guaranteed for Good” promise. This promise is a lifetime guarantee on any manufacturing defect.
This warranty doesn’t cover wear and tear or other problems, like holes, but Cotopaxi offers a number of different repair options for any damage that falls outside of its warranty. Gear-specific DIY patches, restitching seams, and even extensive repairs are all offered by Cotopaxi.
Designed With Purpose
Founder Davis Smith created Cotopaxi to have a positive impact on the world. Cotopaxi designs its bags with a purpose—and that purpose is sustainability. It aims to generate as little waste as possible; 96% of its products are made with deadstock, recycled, or certified responsible materials. Its goal is to reach 100% soon.
Its commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. Each Cotopaxi bag is incredibly durable, and designed to be easy to repair. The company will even help you with DIY repairs to reduce waste.

The Del Día Difference
Looking for unique, durable gear? Consider Cotopaxi’s Del Día line. These bags are made from 100% leftover deadstock fabric. This means that there are no two Del Día bags that are exactly alike. You’ll get unique colours and fabrics every time you buy one of these bags. Best of all, they're environmentally friendly and built to withstand the elements.
Cotopaxi Collections
Del Día: One-Of-A-Kind Packs
Del Día packs are available in a wide variety of different styles, including hip packs, backpacks, travel packs, and more. The deadstock these packs are made from is unbelievably durable and weather resistant—we don’t know where Cotopaxi sources this deadstock from, but we’re very impressed with the consistency of the quality.
You can choose your own colours for Del Día packs, knowing that absolutely no one else has the same pack as you. Cotopaxi has managed to blend fun, creativity, and sustainability in a way that very few companies do.
The Allpa Travel System
The Allpa travel system features some of our favourite carry-on bags and travel bags. Available in roller bags, duffel bags, and travel packs of various sizes, these bags are made from recycled fabrics or deadstock. Many of the Allpa travel system bags are also Del Día bags, giving you the opportunity to own a truly unique piece of luggage.
Taal Convertible Collection
The Taal convertible collection offers some of the most portable pieces of Cotopaxi gear. These are lightweight messenger bags featuring shoulder straps that convert into backpack straps. They’re great for short flights or trips around the city—and they’re part of the Del Día line, so each piece is unique and made from deadstock.
Common Questions About Cotopaxi Products
How is each Del Día product different?
Every Del Día product is made from deadstock. Deadstock is leftover fabric; it’s not recycled but reused. Deadstock varies in size and colour—these bags are essentially made from leftover scraps. This means that each Del Día bag is completely different because they’re all made from different pieces of deadstock fabric sewn together. We use the term “scraps” here, but don’t worry—the fabric is consistently high quality, and these bags are built for life.
What makes the Allpa series unique?
The Allpa series features Cotopaxi’s most travel-ready bags; the 35L bag is perfect as a carry-on for most airlines. These bags open like a suitcase with their clamshell design; inside, there are mesh compartments that help you stay organized. The bags are also incredibly durable, with TPU-coated polyester and ballistic nylon panelling. Best of all, most Allpa bags are available in Cotopaxi’s unique, Del Día deadstock style.
Which Cotopaxi bag is best for travel?
For travelling, we recommend the Allpa series; the 28L and 35L travel packs work well as carry-ons, while the roller bags and duffel bags are excellent for checked luggage. Cotopaxi also offers high-quality hauler totes that are the perfect option for road trips.
