Calgary is a great city, comfortable in its own skin. Sure it sprawls across rolling hills at the foot of the rockies, but be sure to have a look around before the lure of Banff overcomes you! While strolling around Canada's sunniest city, be sure to watch out for the notorious "Chinook", which apparently translates to "how the hell do you pack the appropriate clothing for this place?" Calgarians are pretty prideful of their burg, and rightfully so. This city has grown. Physically of course, but also at another level where galleries, boutiques & good food are found throughout the downtown, making it awfully distracting when all you are on the lookout for is a group of Calgarians willing to spontaneously line dance. Kidding!
