Here for the mountain views and ocean air
Toronto takes a lot of heat/hate for being the centre of the Canadian universe - but hey - no one said being #1 was easy! When visiting on business, keep your fingers crossed that meetings are downtown and you aren't held captive at the airport environs, as you will otherwise look around and think "what is this place?". Once you make your way into Toronto downtown (it's possible by train from the airport), you will be at the centre of North America's 5th largest city, and quickly understand what makes travel to Toronto so likeable. The secret? Shwarma. That and great watering holes. But seriously, if you step outside the Drake and have a chance to wander around on your way to Kensington Market , you quickly discover fantastic little boutiques, vintage stores and great bagels (who knew?). Dining & drinking are made easy everywhere in Toronto, so be sure eat and drink your fill. With all of this walking and all of this looking good, you'll need an Aunts & Uncles bag to carry around and a Briggs & Riley Toiletry Bag to store all of your beautification essentials.

Calgary is a great city, comfortable in its own skin. Sure it sprawls across rolling hills at the foot of the rockies, but be sure to have a look around before the lure of Banff overcomes you! While strolling around Canada's sunniest city, be sure to watch out for the notorious "Chinook", which apparently translates to "how the hell do you pack the appropriate clothing for this place?" Well, a big Briggs & Riley Suitcase is a must. If the lure of Banff and the mountains to the west does overcome you, an Osprey backpack will help you comfortably scale any hiking trail. Calgarians are pretty prideful of their burg, and rightfully so. This city has grown. Physically of course, but also at another level where galleries, boutiques & good food are found throughout the downtown, making it awfully distracting when all you are on the lookout for is a group of Calgarians willing to spontaneously line dance. Kidding!
